This story is amazing.

Folole Muliaga, a 44-year-old mother of four, died within two hours of the electricity being switched off at her home in the northern city of Auckland.</blockquote

What?

I think i’ll know what your first reaction would be.

This woman hadn’t paid her bills, and therefore the electricity was switched off, resulting in her death. This because her oxygen machine didn’t work anymore…

How far can one go in collecting their money.

The energy company says they had given notice weeks ago. So therefore the family didn’t do anything about it. The big question should be: “Does someone have a right to cut off the electricity in a case like this?” Or is this just a case where people took advantage of the situation, hoping they wouldn’t have to pay?

The enquiry should tell us more in the end…
