This site has been down for an hour or so. What was the case. It seemed the blog had been hacked. I got strange logs from russian servers. Cron jobs running doing i do not know what. And strange posts trying out an old exploit.
My hosting company advised me to reset the account, and start over. So this evening i backupped all the files, downloaded the tables and sent a message to my host.
Within 5 minutes or so, he had disabled my old account, removed all the data and gave me a new account. On this account i started rebuilding this log and as you can see i’m almost done.
Over the next days i’ll be finetuning it to get it as it was.
For now, if you want a great hosting service, give FWV Hosting a try. The service is absolutely great. I’ve had it happen twice now that i posted an error in his customer response system. Within minutes my phone rang, and the owner called to see how we could solve it. Really.. if you want a responsive hosting, give this one a try. If you are outside the Netherlands, and don’t speak dutch.. Sent him an email… You’ll find out quickly enough how his English is and if this would work for you. I would definitely give it a try!
