Teasa Copprue of Detroit, 31, quit her job as a graphic designer two years ago to focus full time on Second Life. She designs everything from boots to buildings for her customers in-world, and has been richly rewarded. Last year was a bad year, she says, because she parted ways with her in-game partner of some years and had to rebuild. Still, she ended the year with two in-game islands and $150,000 in real-world cash.
