100 Things I’ve Learned About Photography

The Digital Photography School is website dedicated to digital photography. Based around a blog with frequent guest bloggers it helps the aspiring photographer with tips and tricks to improve their photograpy. The writing is clear and easily understandable, even for the starting out photographer. It often showcases great photographers from around the world.
This time it has a great list of 100 Things Learned About Photography by guest blogger Martin Gommel.

You should definitely check out the full list, but the things i really took to heart were:

13. Know that you tend to overestimate yourself
14. Perspective is the killer
35. Always shoot in RAW
44. Clouds increase the atmosphere of a landscape

And the one that beat them all:

53. No image is better than a bad one

And that one.. that is the one every aspiring photographer has to pay attention to… And that is the reason i’ll be going through my flickr archives very soon to scan whether i still like the photographs posted there, and erase any that are on second review not as good as i would like them to have.

Looking forward to hearing your golden rules if and when you photograph.
